The Young Carers Team’s aim is to promote the welfare and wellbeing of Young Carers in the Staffordshire County (excluding Staffordshire Moorlands and Newcastle) providing a free and confidential service to Young Carers, their families and professionals.

One to One Outreach
Providing information, guidance and emotional support to Young Carers, whilst building and maintaining a childcentred therapeutic relationship.
Buddy Up Scheme
Small group work of up to 4 Young Carers- time facilitated by a Young Carers Outreach Worker, for those Young Carers not ready for larger group work.
Young Carers Representation Group
Group of 15 Young Carers who have been trained and supported to take forward the collective voice of Young Carers in Staffordshire and inputting into local and national research and consultation.
Summer and Winter Programme
To promote Young Carer's physical, mental health and wellbeing; to promote new life experiences; young men's and young women's evenings.
Young Carers Meeting Zones
Monthly Young Carers clubs offering peer contact and support-informal learning through play-art and craft activities, team games, emotional support and discussion, trained worker, support to promote:
- Basic food hygiene
- Personal safety
- Good mental and physical health and wellbeing
- Good sexual health
- Basic first aid Team/leadership skills
- Ability to constructively articulate feelings and emotions
- Coping strategies and resilience
- The importance of being a child
- Celebration of being a young carer
To reduce: - Exclusion and social isolation
- Anti-social behaviours
- The feeling of being alone

To provide a stimulating, safe and predictable child centred space for Young Carers to be children first, whilst developing pro-social identity and life skills. The Young Carers Team produce the following information:
