The Carers Centre provides advice, information and practical help and emotional support for carers in Salford. It is a one-stop resource with all services free, confidential and independent. The Centre produces regular newsletters and has information about support groups, social events and training in caring. It administers the Carers Personal Budget scheme which helps carers to 'take a break from caring' and the Carers Emergency Card scheme which provides support to carers in a crisis. The Centre has Young Carer and Young Adult Carer (aged 16-24) services and it also undertakes specific work in Primary Care. |
